WE BELieve IN AUSSIE FILM MAKERS
Our mission is to support and grow the community of Australian Adventure Film Makers. We know, first hand, how hard it is to make an adventure film and that's why as the Bright Mountain Film Tour grows our commitment to the supporting locally produced adventure films will grow too. We hope to one day be able to offer funding grants, post production support and gear, so you can produce the next great film and inspire others to embark on a crazy adventure.
WINTER ON THE BLADE (BMFT2)
It’s not the tallest mountain in the world, it’s not even the tallest in Australia, but fewer people get to the summit of Federation Peak these days then get to the summit of Mt Everest. Follow a group as they try for the summit. BMFT was the first film tour to screen WOTB, which went on to screen at Banff Mountain Film Festival.
THE LORAX PROJECT (BMFT2)
Six friends embark on a determined quest to climb, and then BASE jump 'The Lorax', a formidable climb on Frenchman's Cap in remote western Tasmania. Surrounded by some of the most pristine wilderness in all of Australia, they contend with extreme weather and rugged terrain, relying on each other's skills and humour to reach their goal.
Destroy My SWEATER (BMFT3)
In the winter of 2018, fifteen Bright(Vic) locals set out into the Victoria High Country for a five day adventure they would never forget. Premiering at the Bright Mountain Film Tour, Destroy My Sweater showcases the beautiful backcountry of the Jaithmathangs, west of Falls Creek ski resort. With homemade sleds laden with camera gear, bacon and refreshments, the group skins out to Tawonga Huts and the best laid plans are set in motion. Key words - best laid plans.
This film was the first film funded by and produced for the Bright Mountain Film Tour.
